Minutes from Thursday, and USA Today!
November 14, 2005 by EliUSA Today’s Article on DRM,some of our members, and our protest.
And here are the minutes from last Thursday:
- The Google Print debate is happening this Thursday, the 17th at the NY
Public Library. A few of us are going and all of you ought to. you can
buy tickets at Smarttix.com. They are $10 for student tix.
- Freddy and I spoke to the USA today guy about the Sony RootKit. This
was before Sony stopped using it. We’ll see how that ends.
- Our next demonstration, set for Wednesday Nov. 30th at 7pm. Location, TBA.
- Continue to ask your film friends about their interest level in the two
boots remix contest. We will be issuing a poster with some details, to
circulate. Stay on the lookout for that. Unless you want to make said
poster, in which case, let me know and I’ll fill you in on the details.
- I put a list of rootkit-infested CD’s up on the wiki
(http://wiki.freeculturenyu.org). Check it out.
- We need to put together the flyers for the demonstration.
- Our next meeting is scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday, the 15th at
7pm., 7th floor of Kimmel.
