Meeting Tuesday, and ILISA Meeting Thursday
February 7, 2006 by FredTwo announcements. First is that Free Culture @ NYU will be meeting Tuesday February 7th at 5pm on the 7th floor of Kimmel. Note that our meeting times have previously been at 7, we are now holding them at 5pm. We’ll be discussing the submissions for our ccArt Show and current news updates. See you then.
Also, I’m happy to announce another free-culture-related group that is starting up at NYU Law called ILISA, short for Information Law Student Assocation. From the ILISA e-mail list:
The reading group will meet for the first time next Thursday (Feb 9th) from 6-8 in Vanderbilt Hall 206. For our first meeting we will be reading and discussing Susan Crawford’s article on the Broadcast Flag, which is available here (PDF) …
Dinner will be provided, we have a budget to work with, so if you want something other than pizza please make some suggestions. If you’re interested in being part of the Reading Group Steering Committee (selecting readings, etc), email me (timschneider [at] nyu.edu). If you have suggestions for topics/readings for future weeks, add them here.
