Fred’s Talk in Second Life

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I figured I’d post here to let everyone know about my upcoming talk in Second Life. As reported on New World Notes, I’m going to be giving a talk in game about FreeCulture.org, Free Culture @ NYU (our real life protests, art show, and film remix contests), and opportunities for the Free Culture movement in Second Life on Thursday, May 18th at 6pm Second Life Time, which is PST, which is really 9pm EST. The best part is that we’ve installed a lot of the art from the Free Culture @ NYU Creative Commons Art show in-game and we’re currently working on getting our Film Remixes into the game. We’ll also be giving out free Free Culture.org t-shirts! So, if you haven’t already, you should download Second Life and get on and make Fred Beckersted (me) your friend. Here’s the download link.
