Free Culture @ NYU’s First Meeting of The Year
September 5, 2006 by FredWe’re going to be talking about copyright, technology, and the state of the current digital revolution. We’ll also be talking about campaigns and events we can plan for this year. Last year we had real successes, USA Today and Village voice wrote features about our protests and events, we held an art show, and presented film remixes at a conference on Fair Use at NYU. This year we have even more planned.
Free Culture @ NYU : First Meeting of the Year
7th Floor of Kimmel Student Center
Wash. Sq. South
Wednesday, Sept 6th @ 8pm
So, I can’t stress this enough, we love new members — even if you have no idea what the difference between the CTEA and DMCA is, or who the EFF or PK is, we want you to come. One of the main goals of Free Culture @ NYU is to facilitate a dialogue on campus about these issues from the neophyte to the copyfighter. The more diversity of opinion we have in our club the better.
